Fire Mitigation

Rafter J is a Nationally Recognized Firewise Community

Each year the Association sponsors a "Mitigation Week."  With the help of volunteers, the neighborhood-wide event occurs for one week in early summer. The  Association will fund the rental of a chipper, which travels throughout the neighborhood for the homeowners' to have their slash piles from the mitigation of their property. The homeowners work throughout the spring mitigating their property in preparation to have their piles chipped.
